Room 330: Ultrafast Dynamics in Solids

Here, we explore what happens to solids such as semiconductors when they are excited by femtosecond laser pulses.

This lab features our newest femtosecond laser. With this laser, we can study electron and lattice dynamics with femtosecond time resolution using broadband, time-resolved reflectometry. This is where grad students Chris Roeser and Maria Kandyla spend most of their time.
